MGM Senior Secondary School in Sector 6, Bhilai, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with immense patriotism, enthusiasm, and grandeur. The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Vice-President Fr. Shaji M. Baby, Correspondent Mr. K.C. Mathew, school committee member Mr. Bhavesh Sam, Principal Mr. T. Anto Jacob, Headmistress, Incharges, and other esteemed guests.
The ceremony began with a warm and eloquent welcome speech by Mrs. Beena Shyamkutty, whose inspiring words resonated with the spirit of nationalism. This was followed by the solemn unfurling of the National flag by Hon. Correspondent Shri. K. C. Mathew, Principal Mr. T. Anto Jacob, and Bhavesh Sam. The National Anthem was sung with great fervor and enthusiasm, setting the tone for the rest of the event.
Shri K. C. Mathew delivered a motivational speech, inspiring the gathering with his words. Principal Mr. T. Anto Jacob also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of Republic Day and the importance of responsibility towards the nation and its citizens. 1st Shift Celebration (Class 8 to 12)
The 76 Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence at MGM Senior Secondary School Sector 6 Bhilai. The chief guest of the occasion was Honourable Correspondent Mr. K.C. Mathew.
The ceremony began with a welcome speech by Mrs. Shiby Philip followed by a patriotic song by the school choir.
A wonderful display of lazim and chunni drill enthralled the audience which was performed by the students of classes 6 to 9.
An inspirational skit to eradicate the stumbling blocks from the society was dramatized by the students of classes 9 and 11, which was followed by a motivational address by the Principal Mr. T. Anto Jacob. The program culminated with vote of thanks by Mrs Sangeeta Saji followed by National Anthem.
2nd Shift Celebration (Class 1 to 7)
MGM Senior Secondary School celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great fervor and patriotism. The event was graced by the esteemed and visionary Principal, Mr. T. Anto Jacob, along with the dedicated Headmistress, Incharges, teachers and sea of enthusiastic students from class 1 to 7.
The ceremony commenced with a warm and eloquent welcome speech by Mrs. Sargam Darnal, followed by a stirring and soulful patriotic song rendition by the school choir. The audience was then treated to an impressive and synchronized display of Lazim Drill, Aerobics, and Chunni Drill performed by students from classes 5 to 8.
A poignant and patriotic speech on Republic Day was delivered by Anika, a talented and confident student of class 5. AgamPreet Kour of class 3 presented a thought-provoking and creatively crafted poem on the significance of Republic Day, which was followed by a motivational and inspiring address by Principal Mr. T. Anto Jacob.
He motivated students to love and respect their nation, follow the rules, and maintain school discipline. He appreciated the hard work and dedication of students and teachers, which was evident in the successful execution of the event.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. Yvonne Kispotta, followed by the National Anthem. The event was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering patriotism and national pride among its students.
