MGM Senior Secondary School, Bhilai, successfully concluded its much-anticipated Summer Hobby Classes 2025, a vibrant twelve-day program held from 1st to 12th May for students of Classes III to X. The event was a celebration of holistic learning, creativity, and joyful participation, with students exploring a wide range of artistic, academic, and physical activities.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by the Principal, Mr. T. Anto Jacob, followed by an address from Honourable Correspondent Mr. Suresh Jacob, who highlighted the importance of extracurricular learning in shaping well-rounded individuals.
The event was graced by members of the School Managing Committee, enthusiastic parents, and the teaching faculty.
Throughout the twelve days, students enthusiastically engaged in activities such as art and craft, music, dance, drama, yoga, martial arts, aerobics, storytelling, and hands-on sessions in science and computer skills. Each day was thoughtfully designed to encourage imagination, discipline, and collaboration among the participants.
The grand culmination ceremony on 12th May was a festive affair filled with color, rhythm, and expression. The program featured a floral-themed march past, Zumba sessions, soulful musical performances, classical and folk dances, martial arts demonstrations (including Taekwondo, Karate, Gymnastics, and Boxing), and thought-provoking skits like ‘Man is Acting God’ and ‘Coming of Gandhi’. The audience was captivated by the sheer talent and energy displayed by the students.
A key highlight of the closing ceremony was the address by Hon. Correspondent Mr. Suresh Jacob, who shared an inspiring message on World Environment Day and the importance of environmental consciousness. He also offered career guidance to students, encouraging them to dream big and stay grounded in values.
Another heartwarming moment was when parents shared positive feedback, praising the school for organizing such a well-rounded and professionally executed summer program. As a gesture of appreciation, snacks were distributed to all attendees.
The Principal took the opportunity to honour the dedicated teachers, coaches, and non-teaching staff on stage, acknowledging their tireless efforts and boosting staff morale. The event concluded on a joyful note as students, staff, guests, and parents came together for a grand Zumba finale, dancing in celebration of a successful and enriching summer camp.
